W. Y. Geng is a writer-director and founder passionate about bold, imaginative, theater-first storytelling. Drawn to genre worlds, she crafts narratives that blend the real with the fantastical, grounded in rigorous preparation and a deeply collaborative process. She is committed to continual growth in both craft and leadership. Guided by an Aquarian streak—innovation, originality, and audacity—she creates work designed for the shared experience of the big screen.
Geng holds triple majors in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Visual & Dramatic Arts from Rice University, and an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with additional directing training at Yale School of Drama. Her writing and directing have been recognized by Oscar-qualifying festivals and prestigious competitions.
